We are so very sad to tell you, we learned today that an official order has been signed by the Royal Thai Air Force Commander in Chief to 'postpone' aircraft support for this event. We do not know exactly what that might mean for the future of Thai Sky Festival, but it does mean that there will be no event in 2011. Our best understanding is that flight time for the Hercules C-130 and BT-67 aircraft and pilots has been reduced for 2011. This is something no one knew would happen in November, when RTAF support was all but certain.

Our greatest regret is, of course, not returning to Thailand with you this coming March. We are sorry to have raised your hopes (our were up there with yours), and to now let you down. We still have hopes of seeing you again in the Land of Smiles, and we have not given up on Thai Sky Festival. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support.
